Hey everyone, how's it going. It's time for an update! There seems to be some - problems - that need to be addressed. Any new problems? Nope. But there's new info that makes enough sense to write a home page column.

I don't have any finished ideas to put up. I've been working on a few ideas, but haven't been able to finish an entire quality column. Motivation and inspiration have been low. I've been working on some other things, along with packing all free time into my Gamecube. More one that later.

It appears DA been abandoned! No following, no talkback, no one here but me. Just my own little internet world. You can change that of course. It doesn't take a lot to motivate me, just a couple sparks create fireworks. Ha, yeah, those that know me personally know my track record with explosives. I really encourage you, whoever you are, to help create a community of free intellectual material. One person does not make a community.

What ideas do I have? I'll show you my current list of ideas. Why the hell not? I'm sure as you'll be able to tell, I have other unlisted ideas that cause some of the more cryptic ones to actually make sense.

So there you have it. All of the files with all sorts of wacky/strange/nonsensical/unthoughtthrough, all ideas filtered until I thought they could go somewhere, scrutinized, and inserted into my goodideas file. I have over a years' worth of files and random ideas. Most of them will never see the light, let alone actually written about.


Other goodies

I made a new server environment page. It shows connectivity from the server to the ISP gateway. It also gives info on some of the processes going on inside the machine. Possible security issue, but I'm not going around pissing people off. Besides, a couple of my personal friends are hackers, good ones, and they're really cool people.

Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Prime, have both latched on to my body, sucking away my life force. I bought a Game Boy Advance just for Fusion. I already beat it, and the game was awesome. A worthy side-scrolling Metroid. Then there's the eyecandy known as Prime. It looks good, but in reality takes a while until it really grabs ahold and doesn't let go. After the first 5 hours, I put it down to play Fusion. After 12 hours of Prime, I eat/live/sleep for more. Beautifully done game.

Holidays mean downtime. I don't usually get to update the site for days when I'm out of town. I was hoping that the site was self-sufficient enough where I wouldn't have to intervene for a while, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Either way, no one else is a part of the site so when I'm gone, I kick on the cruise control and sit back.

I went to Manhattan recently. It's a really neat place. Me and my girlfriend were unable to cover the city in four days... there's so much going on. We skipped all the tourist traps attractions and did a lot of walking around finding places you never hear about. No one, really, no one speaks english as the primary language. There is no dominant language, there so many being spoken, all sorts of tongues and dialects. I did not factor that in before the trip, so meeting people was tough. Most people spoke english as a secondary, but no one did it particularly well. It was a lot of fun.
